Released from my capture,
Into rapture, applause,
Drumming of feet
A crescendo of roars
You’re free!

In that minute you know,
No more school, no despair
Taking freedom no more
Or you’d wish you were there.

The hours that pass
Having classes and lessons
Expectation arriving in minor progressions

When Friday comes, routinely,
Each week, joy and jubilation,
Energy and anticipation,
Kissing routines goodbye.
Even so,
No one, is ever truly free.
Doing homework can ruin the weekend for me.

~ Andrew
Tried an acrostic poem for the first time in a while, the only other one I can remember is Happy New Year, not fitting but I guess it’s a connection. The final stanza isn’t my finest but I hope you get the picture of the poem 🙂
