Bad Egg

You’re what we call,
A bag egg.
A rotten shell,
to hell with you.

You crack friendships
like we crack eggs.
You’re the poison
That irritates throats
and bloats stomachs.

Bad eggs,
we’ve all met them,
we forget them
just as fast
as we boil omelettes.

Rotten egg,
I hope, for your sake,
you end up in the garbage,
not mixed into cake.
For you spoil the flavour,
you ruin the taste,
when it comes to ingredients,
you’re no more than waste.

~ Andrew
I’ve had chocolate eggs so I decided to write about eggs. Food is a great inspiration. Similarly my poem: Food for Thought might interest you (or the poem Chocolate). Happy Easter everybody!
