I guess you could say,
that I’m under the weather
a cloud over my head,
and it’s been there forever.
All the rain that is falling
is calling your name
and the names I’ve been calling
are my echoes of shame
as I live in a cloud
of regret,
letting go
is much harder to do
when you’re trying to grow,
from mistakes that you made
as you laid in the dirt,
face first,
muddy tears
to forget that it hurt
But the weather today,
says the skies will be grey
and I wish they were wrong
because I’m not quite that strong.

Such a poignant poem Andrew…..
I can relate. I thought of hubby Kevin when I read this. I still feel like this 12 years later…..
